Writing – Turtle Information Report

Hello Amazing Bloggers, Writing – Turtle Information Report!

Turtles is what this blog is about I made a doc with all of the steps to success. the first step was to plan with just the main main ideas but I also made it so that I have them in sentences to help me writing it, the second bit to success is writing my draft and starting to edit, and the almost last stage and this is editing so for this I made it so  I could see where I edited by making it bright red.  Finally the last stage it the publishing the thing I am doing this on my blog for the last step (publishing). and this is what I wrote for my plan:

Apparence: Turtles look like they are a house with a huge shell on its back. When a turtle is young they are pink and have a soft piece of rubber on their backs. Habitat: Turtles live near oceans, rivers, ponds, lakes, and wetlands. Turtles dive up to 1,300 meters deep in water. Diet: Turtles eat stuff like animal protein, and fish or plants. Turtles are omnivores. Other facts: Turtles can live up to 200 million years old which gives them time to lay eggs and create life. Turtles have no teeth so they are very gentle. Turtles are cold blooded for life.

And this is what I wrote for my draft:

TURTLES: Information report 2025! Monday the 24th November 2025!

DID YOU KNOW… Turtles grow strong because they have to have a heavy shell on them 24-7 (turtles have over 50 bones)! Apparence, Habitat, Diet is what is in this information report!  Apparence

writing

hello bloggers, today is tuesday the 11th of November 2025, and this week week 6 term 4, for this blog post I had to make an information report about a kiwi with 2 of my plans, and don’t forget that this took 2 days and the second day I also did something special, I had to make a report about a TUI bird and I didn’t write it I split it up into paragraphs with a title and subheadings In Front of each one. and here is my 2 plans, number 1: this work was DAY 1!

Appearance

(What the animal looks like)

Brown, long beak, long skinny and bumpy legs, black claws of a hawk, kiwis have a beak mouth and a nose on their mouth too. Kiwis most of the time have a round body, small wings, and no tail.
Habitat

(Where the animal lives)

Forests, grasslands and scrublands are where kiwis live sometimes. They normally live in stuff like the south and north pole because it is colder and gets darker earlier and that is better for the kiwis.
Diet

(What the animal eats)

Kiwis eat stuff such as: Worms, insects, and spiders all contained with their larvae, and more slugs and grubs they eat.
Behaviour

(How the animal acts)

As small as these kiwis are, they are flightless birds, kiwis behave as they normally are up at night and eat at night too.
Other facts Kiwi’s are one of the bird that can’t fly, kiwis are the only bird with nostrils at the end of their beaks, all female kiwis are larger than male kiwis,

and this second piece of art as I call it, it is called plan 2, so try and enjoy what you see out of this plan for the kiwi information report: here it is:

My animal/title/topic:  Kiwi information report
→ What country is the animal from?

→ What is their classification (reptile, mammal, aves, marsupials, etc)?

→ Is your animal endangered, protected, or common?

Introduction:

  • Kiwis are from New Zealand as a natural bird.
  • Kiwis are mainly mammals but also avian too.
  • Kiwis aren’t endangered but they are most of the time protected around New Zealand.
→ What do they look like?

→ What features do they have?

→ What other information can you find on their appearance?

Appearance:

  • Kiwis are Brown, with a  long beak, long skinny legs, and black claws.
  • Kiwis have brown grooved feathers around their body.
  • More of kiwis ‘ appearance is that Kiwis most of the time have a round body, small wings, and no tail.
→ Where do they live (ocean, forest, desert)?

→ Where can they be found? (countries)

→ What is the climate like (hot, dry, mountainous)?

Habitat:

  • Kiwis normally live in dark cold-ish places where they like best.
  • Kiwis are found living in New Zealand right now.
  • Kiwi places are dark and cold ish.
→ What type of diet do they have?

→ What do they eat?

→ Are they a herbivore, omnivore or carnivore?

Diet:

  • Kiwis have a diet like eating bugs and stuff like that.
  • Kiwis eat stuff like worms, insects, and grubs.
  • Kiwis are omnivores because of what they like to eat.
→ How do they move (run, swim, fly)?

→ Is the animal diurnal or nocturnal?

→ Do they have any predators? How does the animal protect itself from predators?

Behaviour:

  • Kiwis don’t run, fly, or swim most of the time kiwis walk as slow as a sloth does.
  • Kiwis are nocturnal?
  • A kiwi uses its claws and long powerful feet to fight off the predators and rivals it has.
→ What will your subheadings be?

→ Conclusion? Fun fact? Did you know?

→ What interesting facts can you find?

Conclusion/Interesting facts:

  • The things I had talked about in this information report are kiwis Appearance, Habitat, Diet, and Behavior.
  • Did you know that  all female kiwis are larger than male kiwis.
  • An Interesting fact about a kiwi is that kiwis are the only bird with nostrils on the end of their beaks.

and with all of that I could make a kiwi information report. and so here it is:

All About The Kiwi Information Report

INTRODUCTION:

Did you know the Kiwi is a native bird that is mainly known in New Zealand. They are one of the only birds that can’t fly. All types of species of kiwis are protected because there aren’t many left. This kind of animal has a furry, funny look. Kiwis are famous for their long beak and small body.

APPEARANCE:

Kiwis are Brown, with a long beak, long skinny legs, and black claws. Kiwis have brown grooved feathers around their body. Kiwis appear to have a round body, small wings, and no tail. Kiwis are rare for their nostrils at the end of their beaks.

HABITAT:

Kiwis normally live in dark cold-ish places. Kiwis are found living in New Zealand, and most of the time kiwis are shy so trying to see one without scarring them is one of the rarest things in the world.

DIET:

Kiwis have a diet like eating bugs and insects. Kiwis eat stuff like worms, spiders, and grubs. Kiwis are omnivores because of what they like to eat. Kiwis eat lots and have one of the best senses of smell in the world.

BEHAVIOUR:

Kiwis don’t run, fly, or swim most of the time kiwis speed walk. A kiwi uses its claws and long powerful feet to fight off the predators and rivals it has. Some rivals and predators are: Hedgehogs (because they eat kiwi eggs before they are born), And Possums (because they are known to kill adult kiwis and steal their children)! Kiwis are nocturnal  and because kiwis are nocturnal they are most active at night and rest in burrows at night. They use their good sense of smell to find their way through the darkness.

 CONCLUSION:
In conclusion, kiwis Appearance, Habitat, Diet, and Behavior are important to know in a kiwis life.  Did you know that all female kiwis are larger than male kiwis. An Interesting fact about a kiwi is that kiwis are the only bird with nostrils on the end of their beaks!

DAY 2! on day 2 I split a TUI bird report made by one of the teachers. so I hope you like what you see! for the next day we needed to split this information report and it was about a TUI bird I loved doing this task and I hope you do too, hope you love it and I will make sure to see you in the next one bye bye bloggers and here it is.

THE TUI!

Introduction

The Tūī is a loud and clever bird found only in New Zealand. It is a bird (Aves). You can see Tūī in forests and in our city parks and gardens. A Tūī is a common bird, which is great because they are important helpers for our native trees!

Apparence

The Tūī is a medium-sized bird. From far away, it looks totally black. But up close, its feathers shimmer with beautiful shiny colours like blue, green, and bronze—like a rainbow! They have a special mark: two little white, fluffy feathers on their neck, which look like a bow tie. This makes it easy to spot!

Habitat

Tūī live all over New Zealand. They are found in native forests and also in gardens where lots of native plants grow. They are great at flying and spend a lot of time high up in the trees. The weather in their home is usually cool and wet.

Diet

The Tūī is mainly a herbivore (plant eater). Their favourite food is the sweet, sticky liquid called nectar from native flowers, like the ones on the flax plant. They also eat native fruits and sometimes tiny insects. They have a curved beak that fits perfectly into the flowers to drink the nectar.

Behavior/Adaptations

Tūī are active during the day (diurnal). They are famous for their loud and very unusual songs. Their voice can make beautiful bell sounds mixed with clicks, coughs, and funny squeaks! A Tūī is a good singer because it has two voice boxes! They are fast flyers, but their wings make a loud whirring sound when they move. The animal is very protective of its food trees and will chase away other birds.

Conclusion

The Tūī’s name comes from the Māori language. Did you know? Tūī are so clever that they can copy the sounds of other birds, and sometimes even a mobile phone ringtone!

and that comes to the end of my blog with all of that my 2 plans, plan 1, and plan 2. also adding the kiwi information report I made using the plan 1 and 2. also made the TUI report splitting and the best one from h=that was probably the kiwi report not the plans the kiwi information report. I hoped you liked it and I will see you in the next one bye bye bloggers. and I hope to do this again bye bye bloggers!

why students should get their chrombook backgrounds back

hello bloggers, for this weeks writing blog post I made a passwasive text and here it is

why students should get their chromebook backgrounds back:

Is your background old and boring?I strongly believe students should get to choose their own chromebook backgrounds. This will avoid students complaining, colourful backgrounds are better than black, white and blue, and it’s unfair for all students who have to deal with a boring chromebook.

Scientists say that backgrounds are good for students to show pride in their school. Teachers get more work done without students complaining about a boring background.

Backgrounds shouldn’t be distracting, but students should still get to choose their own. Each other’s background should be personal or related to their culture or family. Now they are gone forever. Our own backgrounds look way better than the black, white, and blue school logo.

Most  people (at other schools) get to choose their own backgrounds (why can’t we?). Teachers get to choose their own backgrounds, but students don’t.

Why should students have to deal with a boring background? We should get to choose our own! This is all because I want to choose my own background for school. I want all teachers to change this rule from now on! Teachers won’t have to deal with students complaining, our own background looks way better, and unfair to all students who have to deal with black, white, and blue school logos on their backgrounds. Don’t you want to see all the kids working happily at school?

hello bloggers, for today’s post we had to make a Poetry Investigation sheet on our chrombooks. and for this, this is what i wrote in it: The title of my poem is: every time i climb a tree,The author of my poem is: Anaika Educations, My poem is about: a little boy climbing a tree and every time he sees something else good to see. He sees birds, bees, eggs, and a great big sight to see. When he gets home “where have you been they (mum) said to me” He always skins a knee or grease a leg well he climbs a tree.Think back to the ‘poetry ingredients’ we talked about. Which ones can you spot in your poem? Rhyme, rhythm.Insert some pictures that would go well with this poem? Alliteration, onomatopoeia, simile. so now you can see what i have added here is my Poetry Investigation. oh yeah my WALT for today is: identify and explore poem. we were met to do this first before we started learning about poems and so now i am sure that is all, and so here is my poetry investigation: i hope you like it and i will be there and see you in the next blog post for 2025. bye bye bloggers.

MY HOLIDAY RECOUNT 2024 TERM 4

Hello Bloggers

for the past week i have been focusing on a HOLIDAY RECOUNT this has taken me 1 week to complete i had to make a brainstorm of 3 most important parts to my holiday to write about i did, movies, Emma’s b day (my home friend Emma’s b day), and the most important one of all bathurst. and all of these have a different paragh to itself and i really liked doing this and hope you do to so bye bye bloggers and without any further interruptions here is my writing down at the bottom: hope you like it and i will see you in the next blog post:

MY HOLIDAY RECOUNT 2024 TERM 4:

MY HOLIDAY RECOUNT started here. First I went to a friend’s birthday party to clip and climb and her name was Emma. I went with my Mum and 2 sisters. Also, some of Emma’s friends were there with us. We only got about 10 minutes to climb and get into the jump suit because we forgot the party was on Tuesday Week 1, But it was still fun the time that I did get climbing with Emma.

3 days ahead of Emma’s birthday, it was my sister’s birthday (Olivia) so we went to the movies and saw the wild robot. I went with my Dad and my 2 sisters (Olivia and Dani). For the movie we had just got some popcorn and a bag of lollies. We were there for 2-3 hours and we had finished the food before the movie had started (Oops).

On the last day of the holidays was Bathurst, over 20 people came to watch the cars race even some people I didn’t know were there. My Dad made some bets for which car would win. He made 2 bets (his first bet crashed and became a safety car and the other bet he made came 24 place which unfortunately is last place). My Dad lost 30 dollars on these bets. Since Dad and his mates were waiting for the car race, I had to make the brisket and the pork/crackling by myself. My Mum made the salad because my hands were full.

The End!

Bye Bye Bloggers!

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Writing

Hi bloggers!

So, this term for writing, Kereru and Ruru are doing Narratives! Narrative Writing is my favorite! I chose to do a story called The Narrow Long Staircase.

It is about a boy who was first on the beach, then a Narrow staircase came in front of him.

hope you like it have a good shot at it and i will see you in the next blog post, Pippa

here is my writing work:

The Narrow Long Staircase:

Snap! Sticks broke under my feet, as Jack strolled along the beach. It was a nice and sunny day for a walk alongside the beach. The sand was soft on my bare feet and Jack dashed and leapt into the sky but just as he thought the day could not be ruined…

Whoosh! a narrow long staircase stood in front of Jack…

A boy called Jack was set on an adventure, he was smart, kind, brave, and outgoing. This was good for hard times. He also loved adventures to go in a book that he has, to put photos and stories into it.

Water and coldness were his weaknesses and of course to go with that, PEOPLE BEING SMARTER THAN HIM! [This was bad because he is not very smart.]

Jack kept  looking back at the narrow and long staircase, Jack couldn’t help but walk up it and so that is what he had did. At the top it looked different to how he thought it would look. [ It was dark and gloomy with mist in the air, not a person in sight ] he wanted to go back down, but behind him the long and narrow staircase started fading away.

In the forest:

Snap! Sticks broke around Jack was shivering with fear, as Jack walked closer and closer to the noise. Jack could see shadows and hear howling and suddenly Jack knew what it was… WOLVES! They were charging at Jack, he knew Jack had to run but they were coming at me too fast so I decided to fight. Bang! Crash! Smash! And Jack won the fight, the wolves became my friends and helped me get food. Jack was happy but ready to go home now.

Hey look! “There is a guy over there. Let’s see if he can help Jack get back home.” He can help Jack! not to get home but to find the way to the long narrow staircase. There was a code to help with that and the code was: [Oh stairs, Oh stairs rush back at once. To bring me home to my safe and careful house.] Jack knew if he did not hurry I would miss my only chance to get back home. And so I found the long narrow staircase and said the magic words  “Oh stairs, Oh stairs rush back at once. To bring me home to my safe and careful house.”

Jack waited patiently for an answer…

It worked, It worked, Jack cried with joy. Jack was finally home safe in my bed and went to sleep. “Good Night” Jack whispered. As I nodded off.

The End!

and here is a video of it with pictures and all:
